Shia Muslims in Haiti earthquake

On 20 January 2010 at 6:03 am, the people of Haiti were surprised from their sleep by another strong earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1.

About 100 to 150 Shia Muslims in Haiti – where about 20 families live in Port au Prince and more in the city of Leogane. Our brother who survived the earthquake reported that the Al-Mahdi Centre in Haiti has been flattened by the quake and 7 children have lost their lives. Most of the Shia families are now homeless.

There is not any exact information of the situation of other Shias.
