Five Majalis at Mahim

The Majalis started from 5th of December 2012 and will end on 9th December at Mehfile Panjatan, Mahim. Off cadel Road, near Pakizah Bakery Dana Gali, Mahim.
Tonight is the 3rd Majlis to be recited Maulana Asghar Abbas of Mumbra.
The inaugural Majlis was recited by Maulana Karrar Husain Turabi and last night Maulana Jauhar Abbas was the Zakir.
Tomorrow Maulana Yusuf Husain Saheb will adorn the Mimbar, while Maulana Aziz Haider of Rehmatabad (Mazgaon) will end this five day event with his khitabat followed by replica (Shabeeh) of Taboot.
This 5 day Majlis programme is organised by Anjuman-e-Ghulaman-e-Panjatan, Mahim.

Moharram Majalis at Mehfil-e-Panjatan

From 1st of the Moharram till Shaam-e-Ghareebaan on 10th Moharram as Ashra (10 Majalis) is held at Mahim west. It is at Mehfil-e-Panjatan, Dana Gali, off Cadell Road, near Pakeezah Bakery.
The timing is after namaaz of Maghrabayn and is recited by Maulana Me'raaj Mahdi Rizvi (Qom).

Celebrating Imam Husain (a.s.)'s Birthday at Mahim

On Sunday 10th July, at the Mehfil-e-Panjatan at Mahim, a function was held celebrating the birth of Hadhrat Imam husain (a.s.), the grandson of the holy Prophet of Islam. It was from 3.00 PM till the Salaat of Maghrib. The outstation and local poets participated in it.
The programme commenced with the recitation of holy Qur'an and later a very comprehensive speech of hujjatul Islam Maulana Sayyed Hasnain Kararvi.
The programme was compered by Dr. Sha-oor Aazmi. It finished by the Salaat with Jama'at of Maghrib. Those who would love to have the DVD of the whole Jashn can call Shaazz on 9892003932.

Jashn of Imam Husain (a.s.)'s Birthday

Don't forget that tomorrow is a grand celebration of the birthday of Hadhrat Imam Husain (a.s.) at Mehfile Panjatan, Mahim. The poets from outstation and local will be giving their qaseedas. While Hujjatul Islam Maulana Sayed Hasnain Kararvi will be the speaker.

Jashne Meelad of Imam Husain (a.s.)

Celebrating the birth anniversary of Imam Husain (a.s.), the beloved grandson of the Holy Prophet of Islam on 18th July 2010 at Mehfil-e-Panjatan, Dana Gali, Mahim, Mumbai. It will start at 3.30 PM and will conclude at Namaaz of Maghrib. All are invited to attend.

Qaseeda Mehfil at Mahim

Tonight there is a Mehfil of Qasida celebrating the 13th Rajab, the birthday of Hadhrat Ali (a.s.). Poets and Olama will be present to give their poems on the Maula Ali (a.s.)'s praise. Juloos of 13th Jamadil Awwal

There are two Rawayats of the shahadat of Hadhrat-e-Zahra (s.a.). First is of 13th Jamidil Awwal and second is 3rd of Jamadis Saani. The later is more authentic and people all over the world observe this date. While the former date is observed by few people. Mumbai, is one of those places where the 13th Jamadi-I and 3rd Jamadi-II both are observed by the Shia community.
There is Khamsa (five) Majalis going on in different Masajid of Mumbai city. In Bandra Khoja Masjid a zakir of Hyderabad is reciting, Last night a Juloos was also from Mehfile-e-Panjatan, Bazar road,  proceeded to Masjid.

Today after Maghrabayn, it will be 3rd Majlis, while in Zaib Palace, Andheri Maulana Hasnain Kararvi is reciting Khamsa.
We pay our condolence to Imam-e-Zamana (a.s.) on these grief ridden days.

New Programme at Mehfile Panjatan, Mahim

During the holy month of Ramadhan, there is an arrangement of Iftar and dinner at Mehfile Panjatan, Dana Gali, Mahim (west) every year. But, this year a new programme has been introduced between Iftar and Dinner. Maulana Zaheer Hasan Saheb is delivering 15-20 minutes lectures on ethics (akhlaaq) on various topics. For example last week when I visited this Mehfil for Iftar, his topic was Tolerance and Forbearance. He explained beautifully on this subject with the support of historical anecdotes and day to day happenings.
He also brought to the notice to those who wear threads (black or red) attributing it to the zareeh and their love for Ahlul Bayt (a.s.). These threads if wore tightly around the arm and the wrist may prevent the Wuzu water to reach that particular are of the arm will be invalidating the Wuzu, consequently it will also make the Namaaz batil. He appealed to the audience to save their namaaz by loosening that thread.
After the talks of Maulana those present and wore threads, checked and loosened it, thanking Maulana for saving their future namaaz.
At Mehfile Panjatan their will be aamaal of Shabe Qadr on Wednesday, 9th Sept., Friday 11th Sept. and Sunday 13th Sept. from 9.30 pm till Sehri.
