Why One Qur'an and 73 Islam?

He said that if Quran is one, then why there are 73 Islam. Something somewhere is wrong.

True Identity of a Muslim is not wearing skull cap (Modi proved this by not wearing one), nor sporting long beard is Muslim identity. Neither long kurta or short payjama is Islam.
A Muslim is the one from whom others are safe by his tongue and his hand, as per the holy Prophet (SA)'s hadeeth.
Maulana Kararvi also said that killing is not Islam nor is terrorism. He reminded that back biting is character assassination. It is like eating flesh of a dead brother. When Islam doesn't permit character assassination how it will allow human killing?
The majlis was held on the fourth death anniversary of marhum Saqib Rizvi.

• Whoever recites Surat An-Nisaa’ in every Friday will be protected from the squeezing of the grave.

A sister in Canada who tired of always being asked, in a sympathetic tone, about the attitude of Islam towards women decided to answer her questioners from their own religious texts.  She sent me the results of her researches and I am printing some of them below.                .
 

• Wives,  submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord. - Colossians 3:18

How not to Miss Fajr Salaat (Morning Prayer)

1. Buy an alarm clock. Many of us already do this, then one piece of advice is to keep the alarm clock as far away from you as possible so that you cannot just turn it off.

2. Sleep early. Modern science shows us that sleeping early is beneficial for us and more in tune with nature and producing the best form us both physically and mentally.

3. Recite the last 4 verses of Surah Kahf, the 18th surah of the Quran, before you go to sleep.

4. You can also pray 2 rakats and then sincerely ask Allah to wake you up for Fajr.

5. Tell your mind strongly and confidently that you will wake up for Fajr.

6. Upon hearing the alarm clock, and then waking up remember Allah, send Salawaat on the holy Prophet (s.a.) and his progeny.

7. If possible, wake up an hour or two earlier than Fajr and use your time constructively in that period until Fajr itself, be it in performing Tahajjud (Namaaz-e-Shabb), reading Quran or Islamic literature, or even something related to your studies or secular interests.

Try these things and may Allah give us success in this matter, and in this world and as well as in the hereafter.

Iranian Delegates at Rizvi College

A group of 11 delegates belonging to Universities from Iran visited Rizvi College Complex on 23rd September 2010. The College of Arts, Science and Commerce hosted a meeting at the college auditorium. The principal Dr. S.G.A.Zaidi welcomed them with a guard of honour from NCC and Scouts members. The delegates were delighted for the hounour given to them.
Out of these 11 academic personalities one of them represented the Ministry of Education of Islamic Republic of Iran. They are on the visit to India to study the education system in this country.

They wanted to share their education system and very enthusiastic to do that but the language barrier could not let them express their thoughts. They were glad to see that an education institution with such a high standard is run none other than Dr. Akhtar Hasan Rizvi who is from the lineage of Hadhrat Imam Reza (a.s.)-Shrine of Imam Ali Reza (a.s.) is in Mashhad- they would love to welcome Dr. Rizvi in Iran.
They met with the college staff and students warmly. The Lunch was hosted at Rizvi College Hotel Management and Catering Technology.
The Programme was inaugurated by the recitation of the holy Qur'an by Tusi Rizvi. Dr. Zaidi presented the bouquet to the visiters and college lecturers shared their teaching experiences with them.

Mumbai Religious heads denounce ‘Burn a Quran’ campaign

 Catholic and Muslim religious heads in the city gathered at the Archdiocese house in Colaba on Wednesday to condemn the ‘Burn a Quran’ campaign launched by senior pastor Terry Jones in the United States of America (USA)....

...........“Jesus respected all religions, and all men and women who sincerely seek God,” said Cardinal Oswald Gracias, archdiocese of Mumbai. “On behalf of all the Christian leaders of Mumbai and the Christian community here, we disassociate ourselves from the planned programme and condemn it as contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ.”

Grand Celebration of the Birthday of Imam Mahdi (a.s.)

Tonight, at Kesar Baugh, sharp at 8.30 PM there is a grand celebration of the birthday of Imam Mahdi (a.s.), wherein Dr. Kalbe Sadiq will be the guest speaker. Rangeen Muradabadi the outstation poet. Apart from this there will be surood, film and recitation of holy Qur'an.

Jashn-e-Quran at Zainabia Imamada

Seventy Three participants were given away prizes tonight for their month long recitation at Zainabia Imambada at the programme of Jashn-e-Quran. Hujjatul Islam Maulana Sayed Hasnain Kararvi shared few important points on regular recitation of the Holy Quran in their daily lives. Also present at the function was Maulana Zaheer Abbas Rizvi who talked about the award of reciting the Holy Quran to an individual. Salman had been working very hard for the full holy month with the reciters, who consisted mainly of childred and teenagers. A 9 year old boy was perfect in his Arabic accent.

Mystery of Taraaweeh

A great majority of our Sunni brothers perform the Taraweeh Salat every evening after Isha prayer during the month of Ramadhan. We, the Shia Muslims don't. Many of the Sunni brothers do not know that (according to their own ulema) Taraweeh is Mustahab, but the great majority of them perform it as if it was as Wajib as the Ramadhan fasting itself.

In 1983 when I was in Saudi Arabia, a Saudi scholar, answering a question in the local English newspaper, gave the following details of how this special prayer was introduced in Islam.

Soon after the death of Hazrat Abu Bakr in the 13th year of Hijra, Hazrat Umar took control of the Islamic State as the second Khaleefa. In the Ramadhan of 14 Hijra, while he was going round the streets of Madinah, he noticed people performing supererogatory prayers (Nafl) here and there, a few of them in various places. A bright idea dawned upon him. He decided to bring all the Muslims together in a congregation and commanded them to recite one thirtieth of the Holy Quran every night. This way, the entire Holy Quran was recited by each and every Muslim man at least once in the month of Ramadhan. A few days later, as he was going round again, he saw the various congregations and was very pleased. He is reported to have said at the sight: O! What a beautiful bidah (innovation) I have established.

Khutba of Holy Prophet of Islam (s.a.) on this Holy Month

.....Holy Prophet Muhammad (saw) told them: - Keep yourself away from the Fire of Hell, by inviting for 'Iftar', though it may consist of only half a date or simply with water if you have nothing else.

O People! Anybody who may cultivate good manners in this month will walk over the 'Siraat' (Bridge) in 'Qiyamat', though his feet may be shaking.

Anybody who in this month may take light work from his servants (male or female), Allah will make easy his accounting on the Day of Judgment.

Anybody who does not tease others in this month, Allah will keep him safe from His wrath in Qiyamat.

Anybody, who respects and treats an orphan with kindness in this month, Allah shall look at him with dignity in Qiyamat.

Anybody who treats well his kinsmen, in this month, Allah will bestow His mercy on him in Qiyamat,

while anybody who maltreats his kinsmen in this month, Allah will keep him away from His mercy, in Qiyamat.

Whoever offers 'Sunnat' (Recommended) prayers in this month, Allah will give him a certificate of freedom from Hell.

Whosoever offers one 'Wajib' Salat in this month, for him the Angels will write the rewards of 70 such prayers, which were offered by him in any other months.

Whosoever recites repeatedly 'Salat and salam (Salawat)' on me, Allah will keep the scales of his deeds heavy, when in Qiyamat the scales of others will be tending towards lightness.

Whosoever recites in this month only one 'Ayat' (verse of the Holy Quran), he will be rewarded in a manner as if he had recited the full Holy Quran in the other months.

O People! The Gates of Paradise remain opened in this month. Do invoke that the gates may not be closed on you, while the Gates of Hell are closed. Do invoke that these gates may never be opened. During this month Shaytan (Satan) is imprisoned so ask your Lord not to let him have power over you.

Hacked Shia Internet Sites Restored, but, with a Revenge

Few days back some 300 Shia Web Sites on the biggest server of Aalul Bayt were hacked by the Wahhabis, identified as group-xp. To counter it, Ashiyane Securities hacked more than 300 important web sites of Wahhabis which were related to government, universities, businesses etc. The Shia hackers displayed their logos on the Wahhabi websites and put 194th Ayat of surah Baqarah of the Holy Qur'an:

فمن اعتدى عليكم فاعتدوا عليه بمثل ما اعتدى‏ عليكم

"And one who attacketh you, attack him in like manner as he attacked you"

The page also challenged the Wahhabis that 'yesterday you were in our server, but today we are in yours.' The hacked Wahhabi sites were operated from Saudia, UAE, Bahrain & other Arab countries.
The Shia hackers said that they did not damage the Wahhabi sites, but only altered the home page, as they do not believe in incurring the loss to the Muslims. It was just to teach them a lesson.

The spokesman of Ashiyane Securities said that it took 3 days & nights in hacking Wahhabi sites. He said that hacking is not a war but a new kind of defence.
He also said: We had in the past hacked 100 Israeli & 500 Denmark sites which displayed derogatory material in regard to the holy Prophet of Islam (pbuh).
When we hacked the Denmark and Israeli web sites we had 5th position in the world in hacking, but, now we are number ONE. We are not politically motivated, but, we are defending Islam.
