Majlis at Chapel Road, Bandra

Maulana Hasnain Kararvi
Today after leading namaaz of Zohrain at Akhtar Imam's residence Hojjatul Islam Maulana Hasnain Kararvi went on mimbar for the majlis.
He started his talk on Tawheed. Zaat (essence) and Sifaat (attributes) of Allah. He also stressed the point that whatever bounties our Creator has given to us is an amanat (trust) not a milkiyat (property). Our behaviour should be based on these two things. The former one will bring humility in ourselves and the later will develop arrogance. He also hinted on the distribution of sustenance by Almighty Allah. He distributes the rizq (sustenance) as per His wish not on the base of the intelligence of His creation.
Allah has given the best bounty to the mankind and not to His other creations, and that is ikhtiyaar (free will).
After Majlis niyaz (lunch) was served to the azadaars. Daal Gosht, Khichda, Mutton Kadhai with rice and roti were the delicacies.
This majlis is an annual event in the month of Safar. Akhtar Imam (proprietor of News Sangam Decoraters) is very much involved in Mumbai Azadaari and is always on the forefront to serve the Shia community. May Allah increase his taufeeqat.

Juloos at Bandra West

Last night there was a Juloos-e-Aza in Bandra West . The starting point being Gurunanak Park and ending point Bandra Shia Jame' Masjid, Bazaar Road. Many city Anjumans took part in it and had come in tempos and trucks. The progamme started with a Majlis followed by Bushehri maatam at the Park.

Th e mourners in black clothes swarmed the Bandra West. The niyaz was served at many points which had sherbat, samosas, tea, coffee, snacks etc.
The nauha reciters were chanting nauhas on the Karbala martyrs. Mohammad Atiq, the Security CEO at Rizvi Builders said," for the many years I have been witnessing  the enthusiasm of azadaars (mourners), but, this year the youths were in the forefront."
Fazal of Vakola has come to attend this juloos inspite of his sickness. Ajaz from Nalla Sopara has come a long way with his family and said that he never missed this occasion since it started.
A year old child was doing maatam in the arms of his father, it was his first year of azadaari. Karbala is an inspiration for all.

Speech of Hujjatul Islam Sayyed Mohammad al Musawi in Bandra Khoja Jame' Masjid

Hujjatul Islam Sayyed Mohammad al Musawi was in Bandra on Tuesday. He delivered a very beautiful speech after Maghrabayn Namaaz followed by Question-Answer session.
Following are the points selected from his speech:
1) United Nations Organisations gave a message to the Muslim world and to the Arabs that a person known as Ali ibne Abi Talib has written a letter to his governer in Egypt named Maalik-e-Ashtar that how he should rule his state. It is the best method of governance. The letter can be found in Nahj al Balagha.
2) We should use our intellect which is a great bounty of Almighty Allah.
3) He pointed out that this world filled with injustice and opppression will be refilled with Justice and Equity by Imam-e-Zaman (a.s.). We should follow the commands and teachings of Ahlul Bayt (a.s.) to pave the way for his early re-appearance.
4) Agha also said that Ahlul Bayt (a.s.) teachings should be studied deeply and to be dispensed to others. The American scientists after a lot of research have concluded that smelling an apple while having headache will do away with the headache. This remedy has already given by Imam Sadiq (a.s.) some 1400 years back.
The Question-Answers session was lively and interesting.
- A question was put up that are we allowed to have eatables from the hands of non-Muslims?
Agha replied that Najis eatables are not allowed from a Muslim or a Non-Muslim. While one can have paak food given by them. If a Muslim gives you Najis food it is not permitted to have that one.
- A question was regarding sporting a beard, is it wajib? He replied that sporting a beard is not wajib but, shaving it is Haraam.
- A person asked Agha to define "Wilayat of Faqeeh". He said that "Accepting the authority of Marjae' Taqleed is Wilayat-e-Faqeeh."

Yesterday, Hujjatul Islam Sayyed Mohammad al Musawi made a visit to Govandi.

This is Needed

Yesterday, I attended a Majlis at Andheri. The audience were few and selected due to short of space. The zakir was a learned Hujjatul Islam. The programme started with Hadith-e-Kisa & a salaam by a junior youth. After Majlis there were two nauhas one by a youngster and another by a nauha khwan who hails from Kamptee. The invitees were scholars, businessmen and prominent personalities.

The highlight of this Majlis was that the host has given a 'topic' to Hujjatul Islam. It was "Azadaari and our Responsibility." Hujjatul Islam introduced the topic and could say few points in the available limited time and explained that Azadaari is an invaluable treasure for us, and the enemies are very much worried that how to destroy this treasure or how to take away this by introducing other unapproved elements which are not at par with the Shariat. I qoute one of his statement, "we should be very careful, that our Azadari is not overpowered by rituals which contradict Shariat, as the lives of Masumeen (a.s.) have been sacrificed for this. So, before proceeding towards any ritual, we should think, that, will this action be approved by our beloved Masumeen (a.s.)?"
He gave the example of doing sajdah in front of Shabeeh or Dargah. He said Almighty Allah has not permitted sajdah to anyone except to Himself.

Hujjatul Islam wanted to say more, but he could not stretch talk on the issue. He had to leave for another place, another Majlis. The Biryani (niyaz) was very delicious.
May Allah give more tawfiqaat to the host.
