11,000 Palestinians in Israeli jails, including children
European countries are on the side of the United States on the issue of the Israeli occupation of -- and attacks on -- Palestine, says a political expert.
“There is no doubt that the British, the French, [and] the Germans are very firmly on the American side and the Israeli side. And that is why even now, as Gaza is under blockade, there is no serious move to remove that blockade.” In December 2008, the Israelis launched an attack on Gaza that took the lives of more than 1,400 Palestinians, mostly civilians, in the populated coastal strip and left thousands more injured. The assault also inflicted over $1.6 billion in damages on the territory's economy.
“The US government and the Europeans know exactly what is going on -- how the children of Gaza continue to suffer today. You have ... 11,000 Palestinians in Israeli jails, including children, which is extraordinary that Western European countries, the Western media, the American government are completely silent on these issues.
Despite international condemnation, Israel is proceeding with the construction of settlements in the occupied territories of the West Bank and East al-Quds, having so far demolished 995 Palestinian homes and displaced 5,783 individuals, among them 3,109 children, since the start of the year, 2000.
“No matter how hard the Palestinian government or the Palestinian people work to put their points across to the Western public, it is simply not going to get them very far. As I pointed out earlier, though, the international community and world public opinion is firmly on the side of the Palestinians,” Marandi concluded. Full Story

'Ten big media lies' about Israel
Michel Collon, a Belgian journalist and author, in his book "Israel, let's talk about it," has slammed European media over decades of "lying" to people in order to support Israel.
Collon, in his book, has recounted "10 big lies" spread by Western media in order to "justify the existence and actions of Israel", which are concisely presented....

The Insane America

"Two founding members of what was once the largest U.S. Muslim charity were each sentenced to 65 years in prison Wednesday for funneling millions of dollars to the Palestinian militant group Hamas." If you funnel money to the Israeli terrorist army, it is tax-deductible in the US. if you funnel money to any Palestinian group, you serve time in jail. <<

23 proofs of Israel's defeat in the 23-day war

Taking into consideration the lessons the regime learned from its defeat in the summer 2006 war against the Lebanese Hezbollah, Tel Aviv avoided setting out any specific objectives for its military operation in a bid to enable it to claim victory after the conflict ended.
The Israeli military initially presumed that it could settle its old score with Hamas and crush the movement in a matter of days. Relying on the support of some Arab states which viewed Hamas's defeat as a blow to Iran, the regime, therefore, took the opportunity provided by the transitional period in the White House and escalated its bombing campaign into a full-blown ground offensive to kill Hamas leaders once and for all.
The plan, however, blew up in the face of its masterminds; everything spiraled out of control and the Israeli Army found itself stuck in a quagmire. Subsequently, the leaders of the Kadima Party who were on the brink of political bankruptcy and had resorted to the plan to save themselves ahead of the general elections, had to hastily find a way to clean up the mess.
They unilaterally declared a truce to break the deadlock while disguising their military failure as a humanitarian act.
However, Israeli military and political officials interestingly are still boasting about a decisive victory over Hamas. The reality on the ground proves the opposite; it indicates a defeat more humiliating than what the regime suffered in the 33-day war.
