Revival of Marsiya in India

Janab Abbas Nigaar is a famous personality of Lucknow. He had been active in Delhi before. An experienced event manager. He has organised many literary seminars and meets in Northern India. Last week he visited Mumbai.  At the final Majlis of Marsiya at Daray Zainab he spoke to us about the art of Marsiya. He tries to explains something about it in the below video.

Marsiya in Mumbai

On Monday it was the 5th and the last Majlis of Marsiya Khaani at Daray Zainab, Versova (Andheri). The famous marsiya khaan from Lucknow Janab Sayed Haider Nawab Jafri recited in his unique style.
He was invited by Zafar bhai. We present here the recording of that marsiya.
